Pin Out Information for the GE Phoenix Radio
On the rear of the radio, P911 is the 8 pin connector. Pin 8 is closest to the coax connector. P910 is the 11 pin connector and pin 11 is closest to the coax connector.
This method uses the discriminator (filtered Volume/Squelch Hi) output. The volume setting isn't important this using this method. Be sure to use Software Carrier Detect on the KPC 3 and KPC 3 plus TNC's. The discriminator output has squelch noise all the time, so be sure to make sure your TNC can handle it as an input for receive audio, not all TNCs can. This method also powers the TNC from the radio so that if the radio is turned on, power is applied to the TNC. Be sure to set your TNC jumpers correctly for this.
P910-1 and P910-11 are connected together.
